Pure Cleanse Colon Complex has been designed to help compliment the Pure Cleanse ANF formula by offering a unique blend which supports toxin elimination and the flush of unhealthy chemicals and bacteria from the digestive tract.

Fennel Seed – Fennel has an outstanding ability to act as a diuretic which helps relieve fluid retention and urinary infections.  It also eases indigestion reduces intestinal spasms and has been given to nursing mothers so that its volatile oils will pass to the baby to soothe digestive troubles.  Fennel helps regulate the menstrual cycle and relieves symptoms of PMS.  By aiding elimination of toxins from the system through the urine it makes a useful remedy for arthritis and gout.

Cascara Sagrada – Cascara Sagrada has a long history of use among Native Americans and is known for its ability to promote regularity in bowel movements.  Taken regularly it helps eliminate constipation problems and some believe helps improve the tone of the muscles used for elimination.

Ginger Ginger has been used as a medicine in Asian, Indian, and Arabic herbal traditions since ancient times. In China, for example, ginger has been used to aid digestion and treat stomach upset, diarrhea, and nausea for more than 2,000 years. Since ancient times, ginger has also been used to help treat arthritis, colic, diarrhea, and heart conditions.  The addition of ginger to the colon complex allows for it to combine with the other natural toxin eliminators and help produce an overall superior effect.

Psyllium Seed - Although psyllium may be taken orally to treat several conditions of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, it is probably best known as a laxative. Psyllium seeds are coated with mucilage, a natural gummy substance that does not dissolve in water. Instead, mucilage forms a thick, gooey mass when exposed to fluids. The body does not digest mucilage, so the resulting large soft mass moves through the intestines, usually also triggering intestinal muscle contractions. In addition, the mucilage forms a slick coating on the walls of the intestines. All of these effects help to prevent or relieve constipation. Because it is not absorbed by the body, psyllium has few potential side effects. Therefore, it is often recommended for pregnant women or for individuals with conditions, such as Parkinson's disease, that may increase the risk of constipation. Although it may sound contradictory, psyllium seed may also be used to treat diarrhea. Because mucilage absorbs water from the intestinal tract, liquid intestinal contents may become more solid when mucilage is present. In studies, psyllium has caused both stomach and intestinal emptying to slow down, allowing more water to be reabsorbed into the body. Both of these effects help to control diarrhea. They may also be effective for the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis. Psyllium may also help to lower blood levels of both cholesterol and sugar. In the intestines, psyllium may stick to cholesterol contained in foods, keeping it from being absorbed by the body and forcing it to be eliminated. Psyllium may also trap and eliminate bile acids. Since the body needs bile to digest fats, any bile that is lost in this way must be replaced. Cholesterol is a major component of bile, so more cholesterol may be used to produce adequate bile supplies. Less well-defined is psyllium's possible blood sugar-lowering effect for individuals with diabetes. In some studies of individuals with diabetes, taking unsweetened or artificially-sweetened psyllium appeared to delay the absorption of carbohydrates from foods. As a result, blood sugar levels did not increase as much or as rise as fast as they would have normally.

Buckthorne RootBuckthorne aids in carrying blood and liver toxins out of the body.  Very beneficial in the support of eliminating gall stones and lead poisoning, it helps calm the gastrointestinal tract and aids in bowel regulation and is great for chronic constipation.

Rhubard – Rhubard is recognized that rhubarb not only exercises a digestive action but it operates directly as a conveyer of bile salts. When it reaches the stomach its digestive effects come into full play, causing an increase of the flow of gastric juice and inducing their movement, thus favoring the processing of the contents of the stomach. Besides stimulating the secretions from the liver which convey the bile salts, it assists the intestine in regulating the absorption of fats.
Rhubarb is used as a laxative, antiphlogistic, and homeostatic in the treatment of constipation, diarrhea, jaundice, gastro-intestinal hemorrhage, menstrual disorders, conjunctivitis, traumatic injuries, superficial suppurative sores and ulcers.

Golden Seal - Goldenseal is a cure-all type of herb that strengthens the immune system, acts as an antibiotic, has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, potentiates insulin, and cleanses vital organs. It promotes the functioning capacity of the heart, the lymphatic and respiratory system, the liver, the spleen, the pancreas, and the colon.Taken internally, Goldenseal increases digestive secretions, astringes the mucous membranes that line the gut, and checks inflammation. It also aids digestion by promoting the production of saliva, bile, and other digestive enzymes. In addition it may control heavy menstrual and postpartum bleeding by means of its astringent action.
